3M nanofilm increases window safety and security

windowfilm1.jpg3M has introduced its new Prestige Ultra Safety & Security transparent window film, created using polyester nanomaterials. Unlike other thin films, the 3M product uses no metals which can block wireless and cell-phone signal transmission. The film reduces reflections, is said to be almost invisible, holds glass together during destructive weather, vandalism or other abuse, and does so while sealing out water. "We take a baseball bat to it, and it stays in place," said a 3M spokeswoman.
