A Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge has ruled construction of an $80 million Biomedical Sciences Facility cannot proceed without additional study of potential environmental impacts. The 92,300 square foot building planned by the University of California at Santa Cruz is designed to serve students and faculty in chemistry, nanotechnology, bioinformatics, and biology, including stem cell research.
